Privacy Panels, Dividers and Fence Infill
Corten steel screens can divide landscape spaces, provide a visual backdrop or form decorative fence infill. The same pattern may appear more or less private depending on viewing angle, distance and what is behind it. Review the intended sightlines before approving the artwork.
A freestanding screen and a panel fixed to an existing wall have different support requirements. Define whether the enquiry is for loose panels, framed assemblies or a wider fencing arrangement. Installation and foundations are not implied by a panel quotation.

Pattern Selection and Fabrication
Specify the pattern file, orientation and which areas are removed. Narrow webs, small openings and long unsupported edges affect handling and stiffness. The production drawing should include mounting holes and visible-face requirements as well as the decorative design.

Posts, Wind and Public Contact
Wind acts on a screen according to its geometry, openness and location. A perforated panel is not automatically exempt from wind design. The posts, brackets, connections and foundations should be selected for the complete installation by the responsible designer.
Consider safe edges, reachable openings and nearby pedestrian movement. A decorative screen is not automatically a fall-protection barrier or security fence. Where the panel must serve one of those roles, identify the additional performance and regulatory requirements.
Weathering and Landscape Coordination
Natural patina can vary between sheltered and exposed faces. Plan runoff and avoid details that trap wet debris at the bottom of a panel. Specify any pre-weathering or treatment and review the effect on nearby walls, paving and planting.

Material and Supply Confirmation
Specify the required weathering-steel grade and delivery condition. Chemical composition and mechanical properties follow the selected base-material specification; there is no universal technical table for every fabricated configuration. Any certificate, traceability or inspection requirement should be included in the enquiry.

Will a laser-cut panel provide complete privacy?
Not necessarily. Visibility depends on open area, pattern, viewing angle and the background. Review the design against the intended sightlines.
Are posts supplied with the panels?
Only if included in the quotation. State post, bracket, frame and fixing requirements separately from the panel itself.
Can a screen be freestanding?
Yes, a freestanding arrangement can be reviewed, but its supports and foundations must suit wind and site conditions.
Does a perforated screen need wind assessment?
Yes. Openings change wind behaviour but do not eliminate loads. The complete panel and support arrangement needs an appropriate design.
Can the screen be used as a guardrail?
Not without assessment for that purpose. A privacy screen is not automatically a compliant fall-protection barrier.
Can I provide my own design?
Provide artwork you are entitled to use, dimensions and a drawing showing fixing points. Pattern feasibility is confirmed before production.
Will adjacent panels weather identically?
Exposure and drainage can produce variation. Agree delivery condition and any appearance acceptance process rather than assuming an exact natural colour match.
