S355JOW pipes are resilient in harmful environments, chemically resistant, and capable of bearing heavy loads without deformation, even at high temperatures. They undergo rigorous lab-certified tests including mechanical, chemical, hardness, flaring, flattening, PMI, IGC, and destructive tests. Non-destructive tests ensure complete safety. Only tested pipes are carefully packaged in wooden crates to withstand atmospheric conditions during delivery.
S355J0W, similar to S355J0WP, is a type of weathering steel and is essentially an equivalent to Corten B.Â
When exposed to the elements, this material naturally rusts and forms its protective layer, preventing further oxidation. This characteristic makes S355J0W, like other weathering steels, a great and cost-effective choice for protection against atmospheric conditions, eliminating the need for painting or external treatment.
One notable difference is that S355J0WP is often preferred for structures using thinner materials due to its specific properties.
